Within the project YOUR JOB a training for local youth advisors (GC) from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina was organized in Belgrade on July 5, 2019. From Bosnia and Herzegovina participated in the training Ms. Dajana Dejanović, GC from Diocesan Caritas Banja Luka and Ms. Anita Kožul, CG from Diocesan Caritas Mostar - Duvno and Trebinje - Mrkan. During the training, the participants were listening to the topic of Individual Counseling, learning skills and techniques and practicing individual and work in pairs. With this training, youth counselors continued their preparations for a job seeking counseling center opening in September 2019.
"This training gave me the first input information for working with clients. Particularly important were practical exercises, simulation of counseling and role play, that is like the "first aid" package for identification of the steps for working with clients in this specific process, "Dajana said.
Most interesting in the training for Anita was also the practical exercise. "Trainer Jelena was focusing our group work and simulation for client counseling. From practical exercises, we could not eventual mistakes and practice an initial conversation. The training was very useful for our future work. "
The training was organized by Caritas Serbia for local advisors from Aleksinac, Ruma, Zrenjanin, as well as from Banja Luka and Mostar, with the aim of strengthening the capacities of youth counselors in the counseling center. Caritas of Bosnia and Herzegovina together with the Caritas of Albania, Kosovo, and Serbia, with the financial support from Caritas Austria and the Austrian Development Agency, is implementing a regional youth employment project YOUR JOB.
