In Sarajevo from 25th to 31st July 2019, Rischio Minore Summer Camp for Youth was held. The camp was attended by 16 young people from Sarajevo, Breza, Visoko and Zenica.
The aim of the summer camp, as well as the project itself, is to support young people, to help them with inclusion and skills development. During the camp, the young people had the opportunity to make new friendships and to participate in interactive workshops specially designed and prepared by trainers and educators of the Youth for Peace association. During the educational part of the camp, trainers and educators prepared workshops for young people on communication and its role in conflict prevention, adolescence and the challenges it carries, the identity, peer pressure they are exposed to and how to deal with it, youth activism and peace building and more. In addition, they learned the basics of sign language and how disabled people live in BiH. Host also arranged game “Sarajevo hunt” for participants who in this particular way visited the city center and its sights.
The Rischio Minore project is implemented by Caritas BiH and Youth for Peace in collaboration with Consorzio Leonardo and is funded by the Friuli-Venezia-Giulia region and aims to empower young people without parental care and youth at risk and to strengthen their skills.
