Jakov finished high school in economics, but he did not have the opportunity to continue his education or secure a university degree.  The professional qualifications he possessed were unfortunately not sufficient to enter the labor market.

However, with the support of YourJob guidance counselor, Jakov decided to approach the problem of unemployment from another side. Maybe to try another occupation in a different industry, try to find a job outside the box.

Through the mediation of the YourJob project, Jakov was given an opportunity to train for the craft of stonemasonry and at the same time the possibility of practical work at the small local family stonemasonry.

"My life goal is to reach perfection, the desire for a better and more comfortable life. For the future, I would not change a thing. I discovered the YourJob project thanks to a friend and decided to apply to the employment counseling center in Čapljina. I thank the counselor Ms. Karlović for her kindness and understanding. ”- says Jakov and tells young people to apply to the counseling center and together with the guidance counselor find the best path for their professional career.

Jakov is one of more than 400 young people who were involved in project activities in a year, of which 50 completed vocational training, 80 were employed for the first time as trainees, 22 people entered the process of self-employment through business start-up ideas, while 20 people found permanent employment through the mediation of the project.
